How to be Successful in Anything You Do

Everyone defines success differently, and that is okay! Everyone is on a different journey, so it is bound to mean something different for everyone. No matter what success means to you, these six tips are sure to help you feel fulfilled in what you choose to pursue. One of the most important things to remember is that success starts with you, and only you can determine your fate. The small habits that one carries out every day are what make people successful.

  • Believe in Yourself

I know, I know. Everyone says this, and at this point, it’s just annoying. With that said, you will not go anywhere in life if you do not believe in yourself. You will not get to where you want to go if you don’t believe in your worth and capabilities. Plus, if you don’t believe in yourself, then why should someone else? I give the simple formula for making your own miracles in MAKING MIRACLES: 1st I Cured My In-Curable Blindness, so why the Hell am I Still fat? The eBook is free wherever you buy books and through my website: www.DocTaylorBooks.com. The basis of making miracles is in self-love and self-belief.

  • Be consistent

This is another tip that is undoubtedly going to annoy some people, but it is so true. Like with fitness goals, you are not going to see results overnight or even in one week. There is no shortcut, either. If you want to see results, you have to take consistent action every day toward your goals. Successful people are consistent in their visions and their habits to achieve their goals.

  • Be patient

This sort of goes hand in hand with the last tip, but you will never see the fruits of your labor if you are not patient. Nothing happens overnight. It is essential to trust the process, and it is necessary to be forbearing. The results will be a lot more satisfying if you stop trying to rush everything and just slow down to enjoy the journey. Things that are worth having cannot be rushed and the journey usually turns out to be better that the end result anyway. It is essential to be patient.

Having said that, you must see your success as already having happened, as your now life. Be grateful for your success as though it has already happened. If you focus on what you have now, you will stay where you are now. If you see your success in the future, it will always be the carrot you chase and just out of reach.

  • Always be willing to learn something new

How else will you grow? You don’t know everything, and that’s okay. Everyone starts somewhere. People at the top still learn new things every day. It’s important to stay humble and understand that you will never know everything, and there is always room for growth. The more you expand your mind, the more you can reach the levels of success that you desire.

  • Remove negative thoughts and beliefs

Negative thoughts and limiting beliefs do nothing but hold you back and make you miserable. Listening to your doubts and negative self-talk gets you nowhere. It will never help you move closer to your goals, so stop listening to them. You can do anything you put your mind to. If you can dream it, you can do it. You are limitless.  The simple fact that you exist guarantees you deserve the best life offers. You are enough.

  • Find passion and purpose

Understanding why you are doing what you are doing helps ignite a flame inside you and helps you become more motivated. If you want to work hard and put in the effort needed for success, you will need to be reminded of your “why.” These are the things that will help you keep pushing forward; these are the things that will keep you going. Without these reminders, you may become unmotivated, and you may burn out.

Writing little notes and sticking them where you see them every day can help remind you of your goals. Creating a picture collage of your goals and setting it as your background on your phone is another good way to remind you why you are doing what you are doing. Look at those pictures and say, “I am so grateful that I am happy! I live my best life every day!” Happiness begets happiness. If you want to up your happiness quotient, do something for someone else.

As an example of self-talk and generating my own miracles, I might write this in my gratitude journal: “I love being a healthy, wealthy, beloved author because it helps me help a billion people. And helping people makes me happy! Thank you! Woohoo!” At this point, I may jump up and dance while I yell, “Woohoo!”.
